E-Bates Really Works

I was referred to e-bates as a way to make a little extra cash doing what I already do. I didn't want to post about this until I knew that it really worked. Well it does! I just received my first check for $10.59. Now that doesn't seem like that much, but that is from doing my normal shopping online in a couple of months time. By doing what I normally do I received extra money to use, a nice little bonus. E-bates gives you $5.00 in your account to start off when you register.

Awesome Deal

Meijer has an awesome deal. Buy 2 Itunes Gift Cards you get 1 Itunes Gift Card free.

So I bought 2 $50 Gift Cards and got 1 $50 Gift Card Free. I have never seen a deal like this before. I thought for sure that Meijer would be sold out, but there would still lots and lots of Gift Cards left. You can do this deal with any of the Gift Card denominations.

Black Friday

Now that I have actually figured out how to schedule posts, I am hoping to post more often. We will see.
Thanksgiving Weekend was super busy.

  • Thursday we went to my parent's house and went to see Four Christmases. I have mixed feelings about the movie. Some parts were funny, but I felt like the movie was a little disjointed.
  • Friday we started shopping at Midnight. Tommy and I. The girls stayed with my parents. May parents watch the girls and we pick up what they are wanting for them. Unfortunately, we were not able to pick up anything they wanted. They were sold out before we could get them. Luckily Jill was able to get the things for them. The stores she has by her serve a different demographic so there were plenty left. We started off shopping at the outlet mall, headed to Staplem but the line was too long, went to Office Max but they didn't open for another hour, went to Sam's Club and ate their free breakfast, shopped at Walmart, shopped at Target, went to Staples but they were sold out of the memory cards, shopped at Office Max, shopped at Menards, and shopped at Costco. Then we went home a crashed. I was so tired that I missed a step in the garage and fell. I ended up with a cratched up knee.
  • Saturday we went out to my brother, Noel's house. Tommy helped him with the addition, putting in insulation. I sat on the couch and got progress reports finished. I only have a few left to do minor testing and then I can send them out. This was a major relief to finish them. Then I knit a little on my brother's blanket. The end is in sight for the blanket and I cannot wait.
  • Saturday, Jeff, Kelly, and Ethan came over for a brunch. We talked Twilight, I sorted and filed coupons. I then went to Kmart for double coupons. I saved about 72%. Better than the time before, so I was excited. Let me just say that we are swimming in cat treats that were free. Then I ran errands at Target and Walmart. Boy was I ever glad to get home.
25 days until Christmas. I better start getting cracking on making Christmas Cards.

Fourth of July Weekend

Happy Belated Fourth of July to everyone.

Fourth of July we went to the parade. It was wonderful weather - not too hot with a little bit of wind. We sat on the opposite side of the street than we usually sit and it was wonderful there. The girls got tons of candy. The kids (mine and others) stayed in their areas and even took candy to other kids. It really was nice that there wasn't anyone snatching candy away from other kids. Then we went to my parents house for a picnic. Lots of good food. Then we left from there and went shopping at the Lighthouse Mall with Noel, Jill, and the kids. Brooke got new clothes, but Melodye did not. Melodye was too busy playing with Nonnie to look at clothes. So she lost out. Oh well, it's not like she is needing any clothes. The girls and I each got a new pair of Crocs. I love when I can actually find comfortable shoes in my size (12)! Then we came home and crashed.

Fifth of July we went to Great America with Noel, Jill, and the kids. We had a blast. Nonnie and Melodye went on their first real roller coaster. It was nice having a day out like that and no fighting. I think we all needed a break. Nonnie and Maddy ended up staying the night with us.

Sixth of July we went to the inlaws house for a picnic. Such a beautiful day for it. We have been so lucky weather wise. We had so much fun. The time just flew while we were there. The kids played with baby dolls, bubbles, and of course everyone played the bean bag game. This side of the family have to play the bean bag game anytime it is nice out and we are together. :)

I don't have any pictures because I haven't taken them off the camera yet. Maybe tomorrow.
